CET4英语语法：情态动词dare的特殊用法


　dare用作情态动词时，表示“敢于”这个意思，主要用于疑问句、否定句及条件从句。
　　【例如】
　　dare you go home alone?
　　tom dare not gosintosthe haunted house.
　　how dare you say such a thing to your father!
　　i won’t allow you to swim across the river, even if you dare do it. the current is too swift.  
　　但在现代英语中dare，need一样用作及物动词的时候更多一些，后面可以跟不定式，用于各种结构中。
　　【例如】
　　does tom dare to gosintosthe haunted house?
　　i have never dared to tell him about it.
　　she stopped at door, not daring to enter.  
　　if you dare to say "no", i will beat you.

　　he didn’t dare to do it because he was under inspection.












